Fabrication

Merpro has the skills and capabilities, backed by over 30 years' experience, to undertake the manufacture of large structural fabrications as well as piping spools under cover within a custom designed fabrication shop. A separate, clean fabrication shop is dedicated to exotic material fabrications. Both fabrication shops have overhead cranes and large hook clearance. Merpro's coded welders have the experience and qualifications to fabricate in a comprehensive range of materials to various offshore and industry codes and standards. Merpro is ISO 9001 approved, FPAL registered (supplier no: 40402) and PED certified to module D1, H and H1.

Weld Procedures

With over 500 weld procedures qualified to British and international standards, approved and vetted by a fully qualified resident Metallurgist/Welding Engineer.

Assembly

Merpro's custom built assembly workshop allows for the completion of large and complex packages indoors in a clean and well organised environment. Good access with under hook height facilitates the handling of individual modules of considerable width and height. Full preparation for shipment overseas and direct loading onto low loaders mean that, in many cases, no further intervention is required for transfer to destination.

Additional external yard facilities allow further assembly and handling if required. Merpro also has quay side facilities available for completion of large modules and load out.

Merpro can carry out Hydro Testing on individual piping spools, pressure vessels and riser systems.
