Merpro Creates Global Technology Role

With our strong history in R&D and product development, Merpro’s organisation has been restructured to look at how to improve the focus of work being undertaken, and as such, Tim Podger as been appointed to the role of Global Technology Manager. He will head-up the company technology development and establish developing technology partnerships with the Oil & Gas community in conjunction with the Merpro business hubs. “In the current market, it is important to concentrate effort and provide relevant and timely solutions to the industry” commented Corin Main, Merpro’s Managing Director.

The technology team is also tasked in improving ways that Merpro offer knowledge transfer to clients through such vehicles such as training, Lunch & Learns, presentations etc., all as part of our MerproCare package.

Tim brings with him to the role over 20 years of know-how covering R&D, engineering solutions, technology licensing and practical hands-on experience. On being selected for the role, Tim noted that “Given Merpro’s sound history in R&D and strength in technology based solutions for topsides packages, it’s exciting I have been given this challenge”.
