PWT Package Delivered for Offshore Vietnam

Merpro has recently completed delivery of two de-oiling hydrocyclone and degasser packages for Monaco based Monobuoy, plus associated Heat Exchanger, ESD/Basket strainer packages. The packages are destined for Vietnamese operator PetroVietnam’s FSO 5 for the Vietsovpetro Field, offshore Vietnam. Outlet quality from the Produced Water Treatment packages is <15ppm oil in water.

The two PWT packages were built in Merpro’s facility in Montrose, Scotland, while the other packages were designed by Oakwell Engineering, Singapore and manufactured by Env-Pro at their Loyang facility with project support from Merpro’s local office. This is the first time Merpro’s recently expanded office in Singapore has taken on project support for manufacture in S.E. Asia, marking an important watershed in our ability to support clients in this location.

The end client of PetroVietnam (PTSC) commented that “the build quality of all packages is excellent and Merpro’s engineering team did a great job minimising overall package weight”.

The packages were delivered ahead of the vessel schedule between May and July 2008, with installation and commissioning scheduled for 2009.
