Merpro has a history of bringing innovative products to market. The company recognises the importance of being in the vanguard of understanding the fundamentals and processes for developing new market leading technologies focused on production enhancement within the oil and gas industry. We take account of applications from a diverse number of industries which allows us to grow our know-how and maintain product improvements of existing technologies.

Research and development is undertaken at a dedicated facility based at headquarters in Montrose where R&D supports and integrates with teams from process solutions engineering, MerproCare and manufacturing and testing to streamline research and development work.

Merpro has also invested in testing facilities where testing takes place in-house (in Aberdeen and Houston), demonstrating current technologies to customers as unit operations as well as simulating set-ups to demonstrate integrated process systems. Activities have included simulation of sub-sea systems and complete topside sand handling systems.

Merpro recognises that collaboration is important for cross fertilisation of ideas from different industry applications and the company has a number of collaboration R&D projects with both industry partners and academic institutions.
